DO NOT BUY! I bought the pressure equalizer (separately) and this valve (Kohler calls it "the cap") at the same time from the same seller. The sealing worked well. The valve let water through no matter what position the handle was in. Didn't close, was open to the fullest. I thought I did something wrong. This isn't the hard part. I changed the setup a few times, same result. I gave up, went to Lowe's and bought another one, a Kohler brand. Problem solved, lesson learned. Buy original spare parts. Stay away from Asian "fakes". There is no quality control and factory drone manufacturers are dead. From my purchase price.
