These lamps are beautiful when lit. But I am very unhappy because in order for the light bulbs to work, you need to turn on the night light. If the night light is off, the light bulbs will not work. So the entire lamp is basically powered by a switch on the cord that powers the lamp. Which defeats the purpose of the pull chains except for the weather selection if you want a light or two to come on along with the night light as the night light is always on when you turn on the lamp you don't have the option to turn it off and turn on every other light. You have to disassemble the lamp to use the night light. It should be a small light bulb into which the ear is inserted. Keep in mind that it stays on all the time, so very little power may be required. I would return the lamps I bought but I waited a long time before opening and checking the boxes as I didn't expect such problems. I figured the lamps and night lights would work separately.
