Review on 🍲 Augason Farms Variety Pail Emergency Food Supply (Lunch and Dinner) - 4-Gallon Pail by Gary Duncan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good selection, easy to make lunch and dinner when camping or for emergencies

I checked the contents and all mylar food bags were present and properly sealed. A bucket contains 21,020 calories for lunch and dinner, or about 15 days of food (not counting fifteen 667-calorie breakfasts) if you're aiming for 2,000 calories a day. Each pack contains multiple servings, so you'll need multiple ziplock bags to hold open bags. All food needs to be mixed with boiled water, and some need to be boiled, so you'll need a supply of clean water and a camp stove or other way to boil water in a pot. When I repacked my grocery bucket, there was enough room to add a Mylar bag containing 6.5 cups of quinoa grains (26 servings of whole grain, whole protein with 170 calories per serving). In a real emergency with no grid, the power in this bucket would be of great help. I would supplement it with a #10 can of a vitamin C-fortified drink mix and 2 or 3 cans of #10 freeze-dried non-starchy vegetables (broccoli, carrots, zucchini, spinach) for a more balanced diet.
