These blankets are not as large as the ones we use in the hospital. The main reason we bought them was to swaddle our newborn baby. Due to their smaller size, the duvets were not optimal for our purposes. Now they are on the shelf and have not been used since the first week of arrival. We then bought another swaddle blanket and were happy with it. They should not be advertised as hospital blankets - yes they are of a similar design/appearance but they are not large enough for effective swaddling.
