This tool actually made my problem worse. My slow drain sink got completely clogged after using this device. I even used 4 out of 5 disposable bottle brushes as chopsticks. While raising some of the hair, they gathered it into a more durable clog. I've had a lot of success with serrated drain cleaners in the past as the serrations point up so they don't push anything down the drain without pulling it back up. I was intrigued by the good reviews for this gadget and I liked the idea that you don't have to clean your hair of bacteria after every use. But I will come back to using barbed drain cleaners in the future.
