Review on πŸ”§ PRS3040 Precision Router Table Insert Plate Levelers - Medium Size by Todd Phillips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An easy way to create your own level router table.

That they don't tell you clearly in the manual because you will read in some of these comments that the manual is not very good. They are designed for use with a Kreg baseplate and require a minimum 1" thick countertop. I built my table using 2 3/4" thick MDF boards stacked inside each other and they worked great, it's about a 1.5" thick board of wood. When using these levelers you basically cut a hole in the table that matches the outside dimensions of the Kreg base plate. These aligners screw into the corners of the rectangle you cut out of the countertop. The corners are created with a 1-1/5" Forster bit or, in my case, a 1-1/2" hole saw. The three brass holes shown in Figure 2 are used for leveling feet that screw in from below. . The center lines up with the Kreg baseplate above to secure it. Alignment screws are hex head screws coated with an extremely high thread lock. I'm not sure which level of yellow corresponds to the industry. Use your own Allen key, a long one because you will need it. It comes with an Allen key, but it's short. After the hole is cut Cutting the hole in the table was the hardest part of assembling the table.
