love love LOVE this product!

I originally bought this to use in my classroom (an idea I found on Pinterest where you can turn off that pesky pencil sharpener if you don't want to be distracted). I liked it so much that I bought three more for my house! It's very easy to set up, you just turn on the power outlet and press the button on the remote control. I've only used them indoors so I don't really know much about weather protection but I do know they are an AMAZING invention that have made my life SO MUCH EASIER! Here's how I used each one: 1. Classroom - A wicked pencil sharpener and a cool cactus lamp plugged into an outlet. Kids know they can use the sharpener when the light is on, and if not, they can't (no matter how hard they try!). I taped a ribbon loop to the back of the console and hung it on a string along with my ID and class keys.2. Turning the light on and off is easier for my little one - we have lamps in the living room that are too high or "knobs" that are difficult for little fingers to operate, but the knob makes it very easy for him to be independent. Although designed for little ones, the whole family uses it because it's so much easier and you can turn both lights on and off at the same time. I used the command strips to attach the remote to the wall to keep it from wobbling. :)3. Cute flickering lightbulbs in teenage daughter's room - she loves cute decorative fairy lights but they don't have an on/off switch. You have to unplug them every time which is a big headache as of course they are plugged in behind the furniture. So plug her into that outlet (2 wires!) and now she can use the remote control instead! Again, we used command bars to position the remote to avoid losing it.4. Attic Light and Fan - The only light in our attic comes from a shop lamp, which is very annoying as you have to climb in the dark and hope you don't trip over something before you get to the lamp. So I plugged a lamp and spinning fan into one of those sockets and attached the remote control right to the stair case. Now it's light and cool when I get up - MUCH better!
