I use this MinnKota MKA-27 Pro drift sock on my Scupper Pro kayak. Adjusted correctly in the front or back, this sock will greatly reduce speed on windy days. The material appears to be "waterproof" in the sense that water seems to bead off it (like water off a duck's back). The durable material will provide you with years of trouble-free use. Drying after rinsing is quick. The sock itself dries much faster than 1 inch nylon straps. It's small and light enough when rolled up to stay out of the way and barely visible under the bungee. I would recommend this sock to all serious kayak fishermen.
