Little help. Too small

It claims to work with 21 footers but I didn't expect that. It helped keep my 17 foot aluminum boat straight upwind but didn't slow it down much. It was with a wind of 10 m/s. Another brand says my setup calls for 48 to 50 inches. It's less than half. On the plus side - well done. The reset cable is useful. I hope to benefit from it.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Quality

Ideal for kayaks and small boats over 12 feet in moderate winds.

Perfect for my kayaks (12ft Hobie Outback, 13ft OK Trident). I love that it has weights at the bottom and a float at the top for quick deployment. I just want it to be a bright color like yellow or red because the black color gets lost in the dark blue waters I fish in, although the yellow band makes it easy to find at a glance.

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • Useless features

So far so good: car trunks and holders

I bought a pair of these so I don't have to use my trolling kicker all the time. I have a 19ft fiberglass boat with an Evinrude 115. The slowest speed I can get is about 2.6-2.8mph on flat water with GPS. 1 sachet reduces speed by about 1 km/h. I trolled at 1.6-1.8 for several hours without much effort. 2 sacks make me crawl and for trolling I have to increase my speed a bit. So far this has been a great option for me. Let's look at durability.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Modern

Very well made and impressive

Used on my canoe during a trip to the frontier waters. Went like clockwork. Extremely well made, heavy fabric but not too heavy for what I think is appropriate. My cousin also bought another brand but it got bent and sunk - had to play with it to make it work. This one, I just dropped it, the weights held it in place, it grabbed the water and worked great. I knew I had quality as soon as I opened the box.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

This is a great product. I have an 18 foot pontoon and .

This is a great product. I have an 18 foot pontoon and couldn't tow it at less than 2 mph until I added this drift sock. This immediately reduced my speed to around 1 km/h. Now I can control the trolling speed for all types and conditions. This drift sock is very well made and has more than paid for itself. Forget trolling plates and other expensive options. This is the way to go if you want to slow down your boat. Once you're done, pull it out and save it for next time. Does not come with seat

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some bugs

Excellent drift sock

I use this MinnKota MKA-27 Pro drift sock on my Scupper Pro kayak. Adjusted correctly in the front or back, this sock will greatly reduce speed on windy days. The material appears to be "waterproof" in the sense that water seems to bead off it (like water off a duck's back). The durable material will provide you with years of trouble-free use. Drying after rinsing is quick. The sock itself dries much faster than 1 inch nylon straps. It's small and light enough when rolled up to stay out of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Outer

What a great solution for slowing a small boat downwind, especially if you have to stop and go a lot and/or swim over weeds and getting the anchor up and down is awkward. In fact, I think these things actually work better than anchors! Good construction and thoughtful design. So surprised that I don't see anything like that on the water anymore. The only thing I don't like is that I can't find any larger Minn Kota models to buy me a powerboat and pontoon! the functionality of this product but I

Really works! best for outdoor activities

I own a 21ft deck boat and was having trouble trolling before purchasing these drift socks. My slowest speed was about 3mph and I have not fished our lake at that speed. I bought this drift sock and attached it to my front and rear boat spikes, tying it to the front and back of the drift sock, leaving just enough cord for the sock to sit right down the side of my boat underwater. I secured the boot straps very well before putting the sock in the water (it's very difficult to stay in the waterโ€ฆ
