Review on RSET-9158 Royal Zip N' Close Gold Taklon Clear Acrylic Handle Detail 7-Piece Brush Set by Royal & Langnickel by Kristen Reid

I love painting with acrylics and this brush set is more than decent. With 7 brushes this is a pretty good price too as they definitely don't look or feel "cheap". I like the way they are constructed as they are comfortable to hold - not too long and not too short, not too big and definitely not flimsy. Even with carpal tunnel syndrome, I could paint with these brushes for hours without pausing to give my hand/wrist a break from gripping the brush while using it. The zipper is also very useful! These brushes also held their shape much longer than I expected. I've bought several brushes and sets in the past and the bristles lost their shape fairly quickly (despite thorough cleaning with brush cleaner after each use). Only one of the brushes in this set started to lose its appearance a bit (though after using it for a while and apparently it was the same brush I used the most!) In fact I couldn't use it anymore ( and it REALLY lasted quite a long time and was in widespread use before the wear and tear was really noticeable). One thing that could have been used in this set is a smaller brush. I had to buy a separate brush for detailing and spotting as the detailer isn't included (and the smallest brush in this set has bristles that are still too thick/big to detail or penetrate those hard-to-reach tiny spots) . your work). I would recommend this set, but if you want to do smudges or detail on your painting I would definitely recommend buying a separate detailing brush.
