Electricians fixed my 40 lb chandelier to a 15 lb electrical box in the dining room. A year later the box failed and the lamp was dangling from the ground wire! This electrical box hanger is designed for heavy ceiling fans and my ceiling light will never damage it. It was easy to install through an existing hole in the drywall. I used a large wrench to lengthen the hangar beam by inserting spikes into the ceiling trusses. It carried my weight with no problem. The instructions could be a bit clearer, but the device itself is very well designed for function.
