Review on πŸ’§ Efficient 115V 1/2 HP Transfer Pump: High Pressure Water Transfer Pump with Suction Strainer, Brass Connectors, and Standard 3/4" Hose - Black by James Cowan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very poorly designed and built pump that will barely pump over 250 gallons. To return.

At first glance this pump was fine. I have a 275 gallon IBC container/tank on my trailer and fill it up with up to 250 gallons of water per trip. It pumped fairly well on the first ride, dumping my 250 gallons into the top tank (about 25 foot travel from tank to tank) in about an hour. The 1500 gallons per hour (gallons per hour) requirement means pumping on level ground should take maybe 1/5 hour per 300 gallons. It's only 250 gallons, but it's also going 25 feet uphill, so it slows down. I thought maybe 30-40 minutes but it ended up being an hour. Not exactly what I expected, but it worked. In the second tank, I moved my trailer closer to the tank so it should only lift the water about 15 feet. 2 hours have passed and the tank is still empty. It takes about 2.5 hours to lift 250 gallons of water 15 feet in a 3/4 inch diameter hose, which is totally unacceptable. for an hour and since then I've basically been working worse and worse. Or he will just walk away from me. I'll come back today, I already have my code. NOT RECOMMENDED - DO NOT RECOMMEND buying this useless trash can. Do yourself a favor and buy a much more reputable pump, brushless or maybe not made in China. I have had many great things designed and built in China, but this is NOT one of them.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
