Review on AVerMedia Gamer 1080P Capture GC570D by David Jennings

Extremely disappointing, the LGHD1 wasn't perfect but it worked properly, unlike this thing. I had a headache for hours trying to get this card to work; First, there were myriad audio latency issues: distorted, creaking audio with almost a second delay when trying to record with OBS Studio, Classic, REcentral 3 and 4, even tried having OBS Studio and Classic installed without REcentral, I've tried everything ; different frequencies, bitrates, recording only audio, setting up scenes with ONLY LGHD2 as source, even setting the audio capture device to the suggested LGHD Stream Engine plugins for audio, no matter what I tried, the problem persisted. Another issue I had was color artifacts/iridescent screen tearing that the map displayed when capturing a specific color spectrum. Usually this only covered the bottom of the screen, but depending on the image being viewed and its brightness, this got worse. and sometimes cover the entire coverage. In most cases this will not happen, the effect only occurs at certain angles; Looking at bright colors seemed to evoke it the most, but it was the same with dark things against a warm, light background. I've tried all ways to fix the problem: changing color spaces, adjusting output for saturation/brightness/contrast etc, setting output to standard, using normal Live Gamer HD 2 output or LGHD Stream Engine video -Plugins, custom resolution settings, try different resolutions, different frame rates, make sure all monitors and GPUs are showing the same refresh rate, make sure the settings in the nVidia control panel are not causing the problem, disable the nVidia -Overlay, nothing worked, I did everything I could think of, for example regarding the audio problem, I even tried all the different recording programs, OBS Studio, OBS Classic, REcentral 3 and 4, even if I did it in OBS Studio and Classic without installed REcentral, even on different PCs the same problem remains lem exist . No matter how often video problems occur this shouldn't happen at all, I've never had this problem with LGHD1 and I haven't had any audio problems, this card just doesn't work and also REcentral reported the firmware as the last one straight out of the box which is a lie was as the software was reporting the first firmware version on the card actually had to look for the latest firmware on the website and update it manually and only give the card a guess of doubt after that I've tried all of the above again; exactly the same results I cannot recommend this card enough; total crap, very disappointing, I've been happy with my LGHD1 for years, it still works, but this card does. I'm not even sure if it works properly and I just don't have time to try another one.
