My Schnauzer weighs about 22 pounds and hates the rain like lava from the sky. She would have resisted and fought wholeheartedly not to go outside even if I had had a giant golf umbrella. With the raincoat on, even when the monsoon comes, she has found the courage to go for long runs/walks, as has been the case for the past few days. Make sure you have a harness, not a regular collar, and plenty of treats and praise when you first put it on.
