Review on πŸ” 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 HDMI KVM Switch - J-Tech Digital with Quick Switch USB 2.0 Hub, HotKey Push Button Wired Desktop Controller, Auto Scan, HDMI and USB Cables Included (JTECH-KV41) by Chad Moser

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Finally a 4-port HDMI KVM that really works! And that with 4k at 60Hz!

Look no further, buy this one! Believe me. I am very happy that KVM is finally up and running well. Worth every penny. I've had it for over 6 months with no problems. Reliable stone. After trying 2 other brands I decided to give this one a try. It doesn't look that nice, but you can't judge the book. Others (Revain's bestsellers) had insurmountable problems, namely one was throwing a black signal (literally filling the entire screen with nothing but RGB black) requiring a KVM reset, which was very annoying, and the other was losing Devices or monitors when switched on an unpredictable path that is impossible to recover, even worse! I lost hope and when I opened the box I thought it was the worst because it is small and the wired switch controller box has no weight and feels cheap. I was wrong! This is best of all! Pros - 4k @ 60Hz! - Fast switching (I'm talking very fast, almost instantaneously) - Monitor doesn't turn off when switching, so I'm assuming it supports EDID emulation - No power supply required - it gets power from all KVMs to the computer's USB Ports it connects to (it has a power adapter connector, but no power adapter comes with it - at first I thought they accidentally didn't mention it!) - Two additional USB ports for devices on the front panel in addition to the standard USB Mouse/keyboards on the back (I need to use this type of connector for my gaming mouse to work, and having two instead of one allows me to connect another device). without having to pass the mouse through a USB hub) - Slim profile - much smaller than other KVMs I've tried - Works great with a custom sized monitor (ultra wide display) - Choose from keyboard shortcut, wired switch or bezel . Shift Keys - Keyboard switcher works fine (dom-dom-1, dom-dom-2, etc.) - Wired switch works fine - Front panel toggle works fine - Comes with 4 sets of cables Cons - Little-known manufacturer - The wired switch is very light , no weight (but it works great once it's been used so I still think you'll end up loving it) - Succinct manual (although to be honest it's clear and has all the information you need) - you will have to wait a bit while the computer recognizes the USB connected to the front USB panel (like other KVMs)
