I ordered an XXL and XL as reviews said they run a little small. I'm between a 34/36 waist and 30/32 inseam depending on cut and brand. I found the XXL too big, and the XL slightly big, although they were both similar. I will order a large and see how it compares, but will def return the XXL. I will also rivet in a few button hooks for using with suspenders instead of a belt, which I feel causes the waist to pleat. I wore the XLs out on a snowshoe trek, and there was only minimal moisture absorbed, even after sitting on a snowbank for 45min for a lunch break. With a thin base layer, I stayed warm all day and comfortable indoors for a couple of hours at dinner. Will wash in Nikwax to enhance water resistance. Will surely wear again.
