Having now worked-from-home for over two years, I wanted to get something to protect the surface of my meager desk instead of the folded-up table cloth I had been using. That was proving difficult to clean and then fold into a size to fit the desk while avoiding creases, bumps, and wrinkles. This desk pad is just about what I needed.Even though this was rolled-up in the package, it unfolded perfectly flat and didn't curl-up at all. There was that slight initial "new product out of the package" odor, but that dissipated within a day or two. It grips to the desk surface really nicely. I like to keep the front edge right at the edge of the desk (to protect the edge of the desk), and it never shifts or moves from that position.I have it positioned to the lower-right corner of the desk, giving me plenty of room for the mouse. My arm rests on this section often. The surface is soft and doesn't irritate. The mouse performs flawlessly on the surface, definitely much more precise than the previous cloth surface.The print of the world map is adequate. It's subtle, and unfortunately ends up covered by everything you put on top of it, such as your keyboard, mouse, and other things you likely have on your desk. It's a bit blurry in spots, although I think that might be artistically intentionally. It's a actually a good reference to have right under your keyboard, although you likely have to move your keyboard to appreciate it. The dark colors compliment my dark desk and the color scheme in the room, which are shades of grey, black, and white.Quality seems good. Decently constructed and reinforced around the edge. No flaws identified right out of the package.I would recommend this if you're looking to change-up your workspace for a bit.
