Do not recommend these screens for solvent based coatings as the adhesive holding the mesh failed miserably on first use. It is not possible to return them as I was traveling and returned home after the return window closed. So far, in 30 years, the paint screen has not failed once. They may work on varnish and spirit based paints but definitely not on varnish or catalytic urethane coatings. I'll double them and see if that can help as I'm stuck with them. Update 7/12/2017: A few more failed ones, like the first ones I tried. I doubled up 2 filters and was able to go through two gallons of pre-catalyzed paint before throwing them away. At least they're not a total loss. I'm not sure if others have had a better experience than mine, but I won't be ordering from this brand again.
