I was able to bring the gadget with me to Montenegro. In place of a video camera, I used it instead (there is a SLR for photos). An acceptable substitute for a video camera that can still take still images in a pinch. Hired Experts: Durable construction Systematically integrated GPS Superb 1080p 50 fps video quality (autofocus and zoom work) Excellent screen in all directions Sufficient optical stabilization (works great even at maximum focal length) Cons: It's easy to accidently release the battery cover by touching the clasp with your finger while shooting. In comparison to other soap dishes, this one's photo lacks a lot to be desired (the brutal non-switchable noise reduction makes 4 real out of 16 fictitious megapixels) The flash that suddenly appears in the viewfinder is both annoying (you should probably disable it) and distracting. Button to record video, set to the background (difficult to press) Depending on how the device is held, the panorama mode will record a vertical video with a resolution of 1080 or 1920 pixels; in other words, the quality will be middling at best. Very vulnerable to screen and body smudges
