Bought to install my 3D printer's stepper motors. I was happy to see that the thermal pads themselves were of fairly decent quality, but I was also disappointed that they couldn't safely support the weight of the heatsink. My Verdict: If you're buying this product as a heatsink for a small chip or transistor, it will probably do a pretty good job, assuming you're not expecting a lot of movement or vibration. If you need to attach a heatsink to the object you want to cool in a direction that counteracts gravity, the included thermal pads probably won't help you. a few minutes but eventually the motors I was cooling fell off. It took even less time when I had the radiator under the engine (so instead of sitting nicely on the surface, it hung underneath). some ribs, drilling some holes and finally getting longer screws to attach it to the motor end caps to install it properly) I attached it with zip ties for now. I haven't tested it, but I expect it to work decently, at least better than not having it.
