May have sent the wrong product but as per one of the other reviews left this product was the correct length when extended but when the hood is closed does not close fully. After removing old and new parts and comparing side by side, the shaft was about 1-2 inches longer than it should have been and could have been damaged if I tried to fully close the hood. Luckily for me there was no damage. NOTE: Although they may only need to be replaced once in the car owner's life, if you receive a poor quality item as other reviews state or know you will have the car for a long time. It will cost more but You can get this item with a lifetime warranty from your local auto parts store.
