Review on πŸ’‘ UView 413010 Leak Detection Light, Battery Powered with 6 LEDs by Dipp Samrock

Excellent UV light in parts

I had an oil leak on the back of the engine on my old Datsun which annoyingly persisted even after replacing the rear oil seal and oil pan gasket. So I poured in a 1 ounce bottle of Tracerline dye and drove around. To save money I tried a cheap black light bulb but saw nothing. So I bought this inexpensive flashlight, worth every penny. In the dark with amber glasses, the leaks look like traces of bright orange paint on the back of my bell. I can even see areas around the oil pan where there is no leak but enough paint has soaked to show and a mark on the front balancer gasket. Carefully. After pulling the flywheel, my rear gasket and oil pan were fine and dry, I found that the leak was coming from the oil gallery plug. The current was so light that without this light I would not have noticed it. I replaced it with 1/4" NPT and thread sealant and now it's tight as a drum.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
