I needed this unit to remotely control a gate valve with an external connector. The device is in a hard-to-reach place in my house. The installation is fine except for the length of the extension bolts used to guide the valve arm. The water valve lever is the smaller variant that the unit was designed for, but a trip to Home Depot for slightly longer screws (1/4″) and a simple swap on the unit was enough. Signing up and working with WiFi was easy. My only gripe is when power is restored the device causes the valve to close. The manual control is a little awkward to use, but it's a rare use case for me. just a length of extension rods - when the power is turned on the valve closes - the manual knob is a bit awkward to use
