I wanted to install a Moen T187 fairing on my 25 year old Moen shower valve to match my other Moen shower valve. This worked but had a few problems. 1) The threaded holes weren't spaced correctly so I flipped that around and drilled/cut the holes the right distance. 2) The pad was noticeably uneven and I found that the correct threaded hole location for the bottom screw was slightly offset from the existing hole where the screw should have been. After a lot of work involving the use and modification of "RAF 4532-832-SS 1/4 Hex x 3/8" stainless male-female stays, I got it working, but it wasn't easy or fun and if I change it, I wouldn't.
