So there are pros and cons to this project, and there are no two choices! I'll start with the cons and get them out of the way. There are several versions of this particular project and I bought 3 of them so I ended up with 12 canvases to play with. One of the biggest downsides of all is that NONE of these canvases use the standard DMC color key to define your practice colors and each individual canvas also uses a different color key even on separate projects so this can get very confusing. and frustrating if you aren't very careful about changing the names of your exercises between projects and make sure you don't try to use the same exercises from one project to another (I do this a lot). this is with regular keys and DMC coded drill bits). I think that's maybe my main complaint about these canvases. Another reason could be that some of the lighter colors with light or white numbers/letters to type on the screen are VERY difficult to read, even with a magnifying glass. In some cases I even had to almost redo these canvases myself to make them easier to work with. Another big complaint I have, especially with the canvas which here goes from very dark to very light purple, is that the color key for it reuses a lot of the same numbers and letters but just gives them a different color or the letter/s Number changes from black to white. Again, I ended up with many of them just going in and reworking them themselves to make them much more convenient and easy. There might be other downsides to these canvases, but the ones I've mentioned here are, I think, my main complaints, and I think other potential buyers should be most aware of them. But I don't think that the buyer should let the aforementioned disadvantages deter him from this project, because there are really big pluses! As I said, I bought three of these sets. When I finish these projects I will have 12 small canvases that I can mix and match to make a beautiful mural on my wall and I think it's really awesome. fun little art project to play with! I love these little canvases because each one is so compact and it might take me a day or two to create individual canvases depending on how much I'm fiddling with them and what else I have while I'm drawing. work on them. So working on one of these canvases is not like diving into a huge project that is very complicated and requires a lot of dedication and you still get a really nice psychological sense of accomplishment when you finish one of these little guys and that is it oh so important for each of us as we indulge in these projects! These little canvases are just fun and enjoyable because when you end up showing them after you're done, they don't feel as weighty or dignified as if you were making them, even while you're working on them. A large chunk of wall space is like a really big project that takes up a lot of time and desk space, after all they can take up the same amount of wall space once you're done with it. Not only that, but if you decide to work on multiple sets, like I did, you can mix and match them on your wall, or you can make a larger mural out of them, and you can also just edit your mural over the course of it change of time. time, and also whenever you are overwhelmed by fantasies. I just think these little canvases are such a great decoration idea and so much fun to work with! In fact, I had so much fun completing my own set that when I'm done I'm buying 12 more to make another canvas print to give to my sister. I am not ready yet. I've just started work on the "dark purple" version of the canvas from this set, but I'll be including a few photos of these canvases from one of my other sets that were actually completed. As said above there are certain pros and cons to buying these canvases and while you are working on them you really need to pay attention to these color keys just to make sure everything stays in order but if I were you and you were thinking of it To purchase this, I would in no way be put off by my final decision. Go ahead and do it and have fun!
