At first I didn't think the bulbs would be bright enough but they do provide usable light. I don't have a light source in the "Bar" area. One of these is mounted under the cabinet and illuminates the counter below. While it's not as bright as a regular room light, it provides a decent light for this small workspace. There is a 2 inch lip on the closet which I was afraid would interfere with the motion detector but that is not the case. Two more lamps are attached to the bar ceiling and shine onto the bar surface. Again, they are not as bright as regular ceiling lights, but provide a subtle light on the counter. Both light up when I enter a bar. Overall it's nice to have a useful light around and all three lights turn on and off at will. It's nice to be able to walk away knowing the lights will go out soon (about 20 seconds). I think if I want brighter lighting in the area I should use plug in lights but there is already a lack of traffic in the area so I'll treat them as is. For $18 they work decently.
