Learn a little if you use it on a tree
I wish I had bought them. I would not recommend using them on a tree. I drilled 45 degree angles into my uprights, installed the grommets, routed the cable and everything looked fine. However, even the minimal tension required to tension the cable will cause it to cut into the wood and prevent the sleeves from sitting flush. If I had to do it all over again I would drill straight holes, use straight grommets, insert a small piece of tubing to route the wire and maybe add a shim to relieve some of the pressure. I was thinking of putting a washer on them, but they are oval where the sleeve meets the cap.
