Works as advertised. Use on Arduino with TMRh20/RF24 library on GitHub. Using it for a bunch of sensor nodes powered by small LiPo batteries, so turning it off most of the time and waking it up regularly to transmit is a good thing. I have a range of around 15-20 feet in my house and it is very dependent on module placement and orientation. If range is important there are versions with a SMD antenna and one with a power amp + SMD (with higher power consumption) and I will try these for my receiving station.
