We just remodeled and because the new shower enclosure is larger we have a space too short for a towel bar. This is working out great in the now narrower space behind the bathroom door. It's new and shiny, looks nice, It might not be a good choice for a home with children who might jerk down on a towel or attempt to swing on it. Same true for a home where someone might grab for a towel when falling. I think one of the horizontal rods could break off or get bent down.It reminds me of the wooden "dish towel" rack that used to be in a lot of older farmhouse kitchens.
