I bought this because my ears got tired of hearing my 9 year old daughter whining her "twin tunes" on the Echo Dot. When I got it, I put it in my Polk (you know, "test") towers, each with 4x8" woofers, and was blown away. Obviously, the Polks aren't high-performance speakers (they're usually made by powered by a Denon inCommand series receiver) but this little amp does a great job of keeping them comfortably loud. Anything beyond casual listening (let's say a party) and that's going to start cutting. But have for it they didn't design it. When listening at full volume, the bass was deep and the treble was clear and detailed. I connected 2 of these speakers to it (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002YPS6T6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and installed one in my bathroom and one in my bedroom. The noise startled me. You could swear there was a submarine hiding somewhere. Lots of pressure, lots of details. If I were assembling a listening station (like studio monitors) I would turn that back on in a hot second. Combined with more efficient speakers, this would be a killer. No issues with BlueTooth other than the "pop" you are told to expect when pairing. Since I've paired it with an Echo Dot that doesn't move or fall apart, this isn't an issue for me.
