5 stars after update: I figured out how to stop a leak! This is my second multi cooker; I also bought an older model (3 times and gave it away to my loved ones). My main problem with the previous model was the cable. I bought this model because the pot and base were separate and it solved the cord problem. However, while I like this pan, if the pan falls on its side (which often happens in my lunch bag in my car), the seal does not seal and will leak. Disappointing but not enough to give 3 stars. I really feel like this pan keeps my food warmer longer while eating at my table and it earns a star for sure. Advantages: heats up quickly, keeps food warm, no need to wind up the cord, purple is beautiful. Cons: The inner lid doesn't fit snugly and leaks. A BIG scam, but not enough to be an obstacle for me. UPDATE: After working with this I figured out how to stop these liquid leaks (from soups etc.). After putting the cap on the liner, you need to "burp" it. There is a vent, so press the top several times to release air and prevent leakage. It also prevents the lid from popping open when the food is being heated. And now…. 5 Stars!
