This item is aesthetically pleasing and my Betta loves to rest on or hide under shells. They are smaller making them ideal for 2.5 to 5 gallon setups but can easily be lost or overlooked in larger tanks. The paint holds up well to repeated cleanings and I've had no problems cleaning or boiling and replacing. It will soften when cooked, so I don't recommend leaving it on for long. Long enough to kill any algae growth. Hardens perfectly when immersed in cold water.
