In theory this product makes sense, but in practice it's quite difficult to use properly. There are several issues proving this: 1. The finish isn't very consistent - the angle of the wands is slightly different for everyone, meaning you'll need to put some of them the right way around and flip some to get them all lined up the shelf you are standing on in the middle. Installation (assuming you pre-drilled all the holes in the exact center of the shelf). I don't think this is intentional and sounds like a silly idea to flip anything as the screw holes are not designed to support this (but I drilled additional holes as mentioned in point 2 to solve this), however with no shuffling and by matching, you wouldn't have a chance to line it all up unless you were lucky. 2. The distance between the screw holes is so large that you cannot screw them into the stud from both sides. That means you'll either have to use a drywall anchor on one side, or drill an extra hole in the metal so you can insert two screws into the post. I've made this effort on many of them and it greatly increased holding power, but it was quite difficult to do so. You should have the right tools to hold it in place while you drill and a new, sharp metal drill bit.
