I bought these glass jars to freeze homemade chicken broth. I prefer glass jars to plastic jars and love their size and look. Glass containers are good, nice and strong, but there is a problem with seals. First, even though they should fit in the lid, they tend to stay on top of the glass jar. But to make matters worse, after a single use, the green seal ripped in two places when I removed the cap. When I try to put the broken gasket back into the lid there are gaps because the gasket has some elasticity which of course is lost when it breaks. Thus, the container is no longer tight or airtight. I have had other similar products that I have used over and over again and have never had this problem. I am very disappointed with this purchase.
