I bought the product for my husband who likes being 'pushed back' hard but hates having his skin rubbed. Strange right? But it works great for reducing pressure points and providing muscle relaxation without irritation, which he doesn't like. I like that the design is easy to hold and squeeze. The "thorns" in the description are indeed quite soft and give the reel a nice texture. Overall he is happy with the gift and the nice handle design makes me happy using it for him.
