There is a difference in flow rate between drill speed settings. The specification provided is "up to" 225 gph and a "minimum drilling speed" of 1200 rpm. Pumping water onto a flat platform with a six foot inlet hose and a 25 foot outlet hose gives me 80 gallons per hour (1 gallon every 45 seconds) on my Ryobi 18v battery at a max speed of 600rpm/ Similarly, I'm getting 180 GPH (1 gallon every 20 seconds) with my Makita BDF452 18V at 1500 RPM max. I don't have a faster drill so I can't tell what RPM you need to get to 225 gph get. Obviously, altitude affects flow. It is what it is, works as advertised, and for less than $6, I really don't have much to complain about.
