Works great, easy installation. My car is a 2006 XC90. The only difficulty is getting to the lighting connectors in the access panels at the corners of the car, especially as they are not visible. Place your finger just behind the panel where the seat belt reels are installed and you will feel them. With a flashlight and a mirror or a front camera on your phone, you can see where they are behind the fairing to help you get started. Use your finger to feel the back of the headlight connector next to the car's sheet metal and you will feel a thin, pliable, round plastic disc that is the flange of the plastic post that holds the connector to the wall. Pry this disc open with your finger and the pin will pop out slightly from the hole it is in. There is a small latch on the connectors to separate them so you can insert the Curt's T-connector. Once you've fitted the new connectors it will take a bit of skill to find the hole and reinsert the mounting pin into the wall, but try if you can. You want to minimize stress on the wiring going to the taillight assembly. Playing it safe, I disconnected the negative battery wire (10mm wrench) to de-energize the car before connecting the main Curt power supply wire. to the power supply at the fuse box. If you don't, you know you're coming into contact with the battery's live 12V line and you don't want them accidentally discharging directly (when you pull the existing wire out of the pole) or by connecting to the car's ground touches to one of your tools! Also, these Volvos are so crammed with electronic control systems that I didn't want to risk static electricity blowing up one of those modules. The only downside to disconnecting the battery is that I had to reset the clock on the dashboard. I stuck the Curt device between the body of the car and the large wiring harness at the bottom of the access hatch. No need for glue which most people think won't hold anyway. I have a 4 pin trailer connector that goes through the back door, but I will be using splices to cut and reconnect these four wires after I route the wire under the back door. car through one of those oval rubber plugs you see in the floor next to the battery.
