Review on Universal Radio Replacement and Steering Wheel Interface - Maestro ADS-MRR Enhanced for SEO by Kyle Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A requirement for those installing a better radio in an old car

First of all, I'm very tech savvy. So it wasn't difficult to understand and connect. If you've never done electrical work before, you might want someone to do it for you or help you. You first connect the device to a PC or laptop and then program the device using the website with vehicle and radio information [including serial number]. This allows the vehicle to properly communicate with the radio. Even with a pre-assembled wiring harness, you must solder or crimp the radio wiring to the ADS-MRR wiring harness. Best of all, and why I gave it 5 stars, the website PROVIDES you with a schematic showing all the wires used. Within an hour, using small wire butt connectors and a soldering iron to touch up the ends of the wires, I had everything connected. After installing the ADS-MRR, my truck's controls spoke perfectly to the radio. The coolest part was the ADS-MRR, via the ODB-II connector I could see things like exhaust sensor temp, mass air flow coefficient and throttle position on the radio display.
