Pleased with this pump. I've been using this for a few months to solve my problem with yard flooding through a roof drain pipe coupled with a sub-optimal yard layout. I placed a 5 gallon bucket under the spout and placed this pump in it with 100 feet of 3/4 inch hose. Now that heavy rain is forecast, I plug it in, attach the hose and sit back. He's weathered everything but the heaviest torrential downpour when the water comes out, like someone had opened a fire hydrant with full force. At the end I will run the drainpipe into a sink or rain barrel with a pump. But yes it works fine, auto-on works fine. !
