it's slow - Tablet accessory

I'm used to using pen I, but I have an HP that converts to a tablet. I have a pen for Photoshop and I just can't do it. It's slow to respond and makes my lines scatter which is really annoying. Kind of a waste of money for me. I can use it as a stylus to "type" a slide, don't want to use my finger to make notes in an electronic medical record or scroll through documents, I "can" use it for that. but why? God gave me 10 pens that work better.
