Nice cave for my bettas! He was already hiding inside him. I've seen other reviews of a tiny hole that their fish got stuck in, mine didn't have a hole just a big hole in a cave. They either fixed it or some caves have holes and others don't. I would say return the one with the hole and ask for the one without. It is very smooth and will not hurt the betta's fins. I boiled in water for 30 minutes and then washed. It looks very nice in my natural 10 gallon tank.
