GOOD TOOLS COST REAL MONEY; this kit is a step above a toy.First use, within minutes, the chea-pAss tape measure jammed. Tried a simple unjam, but there are no Philips head screw driver bits small enough and fine enough to easily unscrew the PlaySkool plastic housing. With a lot of effort, finally opened it using a blunt, ill-fitting bit that I had to strenuously push for the blunt teeth to turn the screws.I saw why it jammed — the end of the tape disengaged from the pull, then… EXPLOSION! The black spring burst out into a tangled clump and now I can’t even fit it into the tool case to return it. Don’t blame the customer for trying to fix a product when the product is a tool kit meant to fix things.A toolkit with a lifetime warranty should last longer than a week — or three minutes, actually; the tape measure was the first tool I tried.OTHER FAILS• Screw bits seem to be made from an inferior metal-like material, and the tips of the various shapes are not fine enough or strong enough to turn screws assuredly and with ease.• Not all tools snap into the case properly, so look forward to a mess and a headache every time you open it. Case latches too difficult to open and close with ease.• Box cutter very cheap; I struggled with it. Never trust a razor sharp tool you have to struggle with.• Lots of screw bits, nut sockets and Allen wrenches. I recommend buy good ones separately.• No other tool interesting enough to review (let’s assume the hammer hammers; still, it seems cheapish)Happy to report that the case, the four bit-caddies, and the thin foam inner drape do not count towards the 57 "pieces.”YOU GET:8 hand tools (nine if you count the socket/screw attachment for the ratchet/screw driver as a tool)48 total screw bits (21), nut sockets (11) and Allen wrenches (1).8 (+1) +48 =———57 piecesI give it 1 star for total fail; I’m giving myself 5 stars for warning you off this junk and having a sense of humor. Craftsman should take a cue from PlaySkool (misspells ‘school’, keep it away from children) and rename itself KraftsMan, or better, KraftsKid.
