Review on Dexen Electronic Ignition Control Module 593 592 by John Bourgeois

Fixed a bug that caused the gas fireplace not to ignite the main burner!

Last year I had a problem with my fireplace: the pilot light was on but the main burner wouldn't always light or went out after a while. After diagnosing and investigating the problem, many assumed it was thermopile related. My Napolean HD40 fireplace was installed about 7 years ago and I consulted the manual which says an electronic ignition module and not a wired thermopile. I had an issue with the battery receiver melting slightly under the chimney and I thought there might be an issue with the ignition module which was very close to the battery receiver. Of course, as can be seen in the photo, there was a slight blackening and warping of the ignition module. Although the label is slightly different and one of the connector tabs is slightly longer for the new module you purchased, it is actually the same module. if your fireplace uses a Dexen ignition controller. Please note that checking with a multimeter does not measure voltage when my fireplace is off. For reference, with the fireplace on, I measured the following voltages with the new Dexen module: TP to TH 1.8V, TP to THTP 03,V, TH to THTP 1.4V. I hope this article will solve your fireplace problem as well solve. when it's over
