Gas fireplace shuts off or won't start - check ignition module.

There was a problem with the fireplace turning off after it had been on for a period of time. Initially it was possible to flick the switch and the fireplace would reignite, but this meant waiting a few minutes before restarting. The pilot assembly (IPI Pilot Assembly 2090-012) was replaced first as it was a cheaper option, but the chimney continued to fail. Looking closely at the old ignition control module, I found that moving the wires will start the chimney again. Installation was easy…

Google search: dexen Industries Ignition Module

My Hearth & Home DV3732-B with IntelliFire Ignition System natural gas fireplace would not start day to day after being turned on no more than a few dozen times. I checked the control panel and switch to the chimney and determined that the ignition module could be the culprit in my chimney not firing the intermittent pilot igniter. I was looking for an ignition module from Dexen Industries and the first result of the purchase was this part from Revain, ordered it, arrived in a few days, matched

A simple fix for my heat n glo

Success! I had a mechanic last year who couldn't fix my 5 year old Heat n glo. Did he work when he wanted?! So another service call came in, but I figured maybe YouTube and Amazonid could throw a whirlwind before the $$ fix arrives, and if I fail, help is on the way :) My problem was not getting the intermittent check engine light could start, after a few hours it lights up? Eventually he flipped my switch so he turned it off. I thought I needed a new IPI kit (harder to replace) but kept…

Hot Gas Fireplace Heater Quick Fix

After about 10 years of use, our heated fireplace started to have problems. It must first take some time before ignition occurs. Later it would sometimes shut down after a boot. Last season he started doing it more often and in less time. On the first cold day of this year, we tried unsuccessfully to turn the device on - it would light up and turn off immediately or not turn on at all, how many times we tried. We checked the igniter and it looked fine, so we decided to replace the module first.

  • Definitely Bad Product

Fixed a bug that caused the gas fireplace not to ignite the main burner!

Last year I had a problem with my fireplace: the pilot light was on but the main burner wouldn't always light or went out after a while. After diagnosing and investigating the problem, many assumed it was thermopile related. My Napolean HD40 fireplace was installed about 7 years ago and I consulted the manual which says an electronic ignition module and not a wired thermopile. I had an issue with the battery receiver melting slightly under the chimney and I thought there might be an issue with…

Bad wall switch but all I could find was a bad module.

The product worked well but the module was not my problem. My fireplace went out after 5 minutes, after that the time went back to zero, no spark, no sound. According to my troubleshooting guide, the possible reasons for no spark and no noise are: 1. No power to the module 2. Loose wire connecting the module, broken, melted wire in the wiring harness, or control wire (orange) 3. Improper switching at the wall4 . The module is not properly grounded.5. Faulty module Use a multimeter to verify…
