Identical to the original device. It's just a different color of plastic. Note: There is no threaded bolt supplied that the handle connects to - remove it by unscrewing it from the original and screwing it into the new one. The handle didn't sit flat on the new cartridge, I had to put some pressure on it, probably because the new cartridge was microscopically larger, which is normal when manufacturing plastic parts! Make sure ALL debris and dirt that has built up is removed from the brass fitting before inserting a new one. If there is anything in there, it will either rupture the silicone seal or cause it to wear out and leak faster. I would suggest applying a thin coat of petroleum jelly. on the silicone gasket on the bottom before installing to ensure it moves smoothly and seals well. Make sure the nut holding the cartridge is tight enough, but not over tight. Before putting on the union nut and handle, test with water for a while to check for leaks or seepage. Mine was leaking a bit and I had to take it apart again to tighten some more. FYI, there are very fine debris screens located "inside" the "ends" below where the water hoses connect to the faucet tubes. I don't know, so I figured the cartridge was clogged or damaged by debris when I replaced my water heater. In fact, the screens are very crowded. To remove them, I had to disconnect the supply hoses from the faucet under the sink. Then, using a small screwdriver, I carefully pulled down the sides of the screens, piece by piece, first one side then the other, until they came out, trying not to bend them too much. If I bent them too much I wouldn't be able to put them back in as they fit very snugly and are precisely shaped. After cleaning, I used a new pencil, eraser end first, to put them back in place. Screens I wouldn't worry too much about deleting them. Now I have a replacement cartridge and I know all about repairing this faucet! LAUGH OUT LOUD!
