This device allows you to clone a hard drive into a library image stored on a larger library drive and restore it to the original if necessary Drive from which it came or a new hard drive. It is very fast, much faster than free disk cloning software solutions. I had two of these at work and liked them so much that I had to buy one for home use so I could be sure I had reliable backups of all the hard drives on my various computer systems that I use for development software. It uses a proprietary library image format, but that doesn't bother me as it can restore the image if needed.
