Review on Genie 7055-KV Garage Door Opener, Black by Jason Rodman

This opener is very quite for being chain driven not like older chain drive models,(I hear more noise from the rollers than I do from chain if any). The remotes are programmed right out of the box and the opening and closing height are easily adjusted. The only issue I found is that the door (even with 8ft extension kit) hangs few inches below threshold and cannot go any higher and you can see bottom of door. I thought this may pose an issue for my passenger van but it doesn’t it clears just fine (will add photo later). I noticed people complaining about speed of opening but it opens faster than 1999 year python model overhead door opener it replaced. I have never installed a garage door opener before and of course I just glanced at directions and used pre existing mounts and wiring to install and I made few minor mistakes but easily corrected them by looking at directions. I will admit that the overhead door looked better built, but it was also built 21 years ago almost exactly to the date stamped on the motor.
