Missing drive support, file integrity

I was glad to get this as I was upgrading some hard drives from some computers and wanted an interface that could work with my old archive drives. That seemed like spot on and I was happy to see the cloning feature for my MacBook Pro and Windows memory upgrades. Unfortunately, the clone function is problematic depending on the hard drive. At first I was scared as I thought the cloning process would be completed within 30-60 minutes, but I realized there were issues with corrupt files even though all files were visible. The cloning process didn't work, forcing me to use another method to transfer the drive. It dawned on me that the "black box" approach to cloning really limits any feature optimization and/or integrity checking. Cloning is very basic and obviously lacks proper integrity checking - even a drive that appears to have been properly cloned will have trouble opening images or movies. As far as I can tell, hybrid drives (hard drives with SSD and disk storage) are not compatible. Namely, the Senate Barracuda drive is not properly cloned. Regarding using it with archived disks, I had some issues where the controller would crash from time to time and the drives would disappear from the OS. In some cases the drives were never read. I've found that I can turn the device off and on again and it works normally, but I don't find that acceptable. The last issue I noticed was that the SATA drives don't lay flat when plugged in because the interface connector is angled rather than straight. Maybe I have a bad block so I can try another, but the lack of functionality makes me worry that the integrity might be broken, so I doubt I would trust this feature.
