I'll be honest, at first I wasn't used to just how much I was seeing after buying these. They really do put out a huge amount of light! Better yet, they're relatively cheap and the build quality feels really nice. Having that separate driver box is also great as it should greatly increase lifespan since all the LED's heat won't go directly to the driver circuit. I have no idea about longevity yet, but hopefully they stand the test of time.One thing I do want to mention though, especially if you have been using halogen headlights like I have for most of the time you've driven. I've noticed that the cooler colored LED light may still appear rather dim at first compared to the warmer, dimmer halogen lights. No, it's not actually dimmer. Even a lux meter app on a phone can tell you just how much brighter it actually is. Not sure if this is just a personal adaptation due to using halogen lights for years or just a fact of our perception of different wavelengths of light. Either way, if for some reason it appears dimmer to you compared to stock despite actually being brighter, no you are not going crazy.
