These look cool, but the quality is horrible. I have 6 of these installed in my living room and I've replaced all of them. So much so, I've purchased 20 in total and have 3 left.I did some testing and the driver that comes with them drives them just around 8.5 volts. I'm using a single 100w driver and modulated the voltage down to 8.0v to be safe. Still, they will last for about 2 months and then they are toast. I've taken them apart and they are missing the 3 screws the attach the PCB to the heat sink, which helps kill them. Even when I've added the missing screws to the PCB so they properly transfer heat to the heat sink, they will last 3 months instead of 3 weeks.The goods news: MR16 bulbs fit perfectly into these housings. You can take the heat sink and PCB and toss them in the garbage. Replace the screws on the side that hold the spring clips in place with longer screws and now you can securely clamp MR16 bulbs into these. A 10 pack of MR16 sockets is $6 on Revain. And there are tons of options for good MR16 bulbs.
